Cranston runs along the escarpment with pathways over the river valley, a residents' association, and Riverstone's newer, larger homes on the lower bench.
The ridge position gives parts of the community long views over the Bow River valley toward the mountains, and the pathway system drops from the hilltop into the green space below. Schools and the Cranston market square cover most day-to-day needs.
