The neighbourhood
Mahogany is southeast Calgary's largest master-planned lake community, south of Stoney Trail and east of 52 Street SE. It's usually the first name that comes up when a buyer wants a private lake, a beach and newer construction in one package. South Health Campus, Seton retail and the Deerfoot interchange are all close by.
Homes range from starter laned properties to substantial estate homes along the shoreline, and the community is still growing toward its full build-out. Pathways circle the lake, and the residents' association runs year-round programming around it.
Worth weighing
Homeowners association fees apply, and the commute to the core is longer than inner-city options.
